The Best Part of Waking Up...

So contrary to popular Folger's belief, the best part of waking up for me is not that cup of coffee in the morning (I'd prefer hot chocolate over anything else anyway), but it's hearing the little song bird that permanently resides in our apartment.  Almost every morning, rain or shine, he serenades us with either his sweet singing or his hilarious jibber jabber until we let him out of his bedroom.  What kid, I mean bird, will just hang out in his room until WE decide it's time to start the morning routine!  This little silly one does so many funny things each day, it makes me so glad to be a mom!  Here are a few more things that Chace has picked up on lately that just make us laugh!  (Or sometimes make us nervous to see how smart he is already!)

*Chace knows what he is not supposed to do, like pull cords out of the socket, pull our books off the bookshelf, throw his food on the floor, etc.  But, like all little kids, those are his favorite things to try to do so while he's doing them, he tells himself no or "nah, nah" just in case we're not quick enough to tell him no.  Little bugger!

*He already knows to pull the crust off his PB sandwich and put it to the side.  The inside is definitely better.

*Any tiny bit of music makes him dance, he's got quite the moves, and if it's classical or church music by chance he'll start leading the music.

*Even though it probably all sounds the same to anyone else, we know when he's saying "baby", "temple", "Jesus", "basketball", "touchdown" and "thank you".

*When he wants us to change the channel on the TV, he'll bring us the remote and let us know :)

*He LOVES animals and can tell you the sounds of pretty much any house pet or farm animal.  The pig is definitely the best, if you haven't heard it you're missing out!

*Chace loves to gives hugs and kisses, high fives, knuckles and he'll even shake your hand.  If one person asks for any one of those, everyone else gets one too.  Kisses and all :)  (He shakes the imaginary hands of the prophets in the gospel art book we have.  It's pretty hilarious!)

Sorry for the lengthy list, but I just can't fully explain how fun this little guy is and although it is going to be a little crazy around here in a few weeks, I'm so excited to add another little personality to our house!  She's going to be one strong girl from living with this active one!

How fun, you're such a cute mommy. In addition to the pig I also personally love the horse :). And I LOVE that he shakes the imaginary hand of the prophet, he is a smart boy!
