Chace

Our little monkey is such a fun guy to have around!  He has so many funny facial expressions and such an awesome little personality.  Every day he learns something new and makes us chuckle.  Love this little man!!

Uncle Jason

Chace has sort of an obsession with his uncle Jason.  We had a picture of Jason on our fridge during his mission and that is how Chace learned his name.  Since he got home last November he has become one of Chace's favorites!  As you can see, they always have a good time.  Jason teaches him lots of new tricks and loves quizzing him on his animal sounds.  Chace sings and says Jason's name all the time, he likes him a lot!  I don't blame him, he's a pretty cool guy. :)

Little Aubree had her two month appointment this week!  She's growing well, she is now 10 lbs. 14 oz. and almost 22 inches long.   Kind of cool to look at where Chace was at this point, he was 11 lbs. 15 oz. and 23 1/4 inches long at two months.  Just  little heavier. :)  She is becoming more and more smiley and interactive, it is so fun!  She is such a cutie and I love having a girl to dress up!

This Week

This week has been one busy, long week with a lot of miles driven and a lot of different emotions felt.   Three days after we blessed Aubree, my dear grandma, Joyce Butterfield Saunders, passed away.  She has been dealing with the symptoms of advanced Parkinson's Disease for a few years now so it is a bitter sweet thing.  We're glad she could finally be relieved of her pain, but of course it is always so sad to see family go.  I have so many amazing memories with my Grandma Saunders.  On my list of people I hope to be like, she is definitely in the top 3!  Her creativity, compassion and love of people and hard work made her an amazing lady and I would be thrilled to be half the woman she was.  We decided to give Aubree the middle name of Joyce in remembrance of her.  Her funeral was on Tuesday and was a day of happiness.  She would not have wanted it any other way.  It was a beautiful day.

Tuesday was also a big day for the family because my little brother was set apart to be a missionary and today entered the MTC.  Brad will be headed to the Minneapolis, Minnesota mission to serve the people there.  It is kind of crazy that his mission is actually right next door to where Jason's mission was! I can't believe that another one of my little brothers is serving a mission already.  (Ok, so they're not so little anymore.) Time just flies by, it is crazy!  He is going to be an awesome missionary, he is so caring and ready to serve.  Weird to think Chace will be almost four and Aubree two when he gets back.

We've been able to spend quite a lot of precious family time all together over the past couple weeks and it means so much.  I love my family and all that they do for us!  So grateful to know we can be together forever!

Blessing Day

This past Sunday we were able to bless our little AubreeAnn.  We have amazing family and friends that came to support us.  Aubree was perfect and slept the entire time, including during the  lunch we had after the meeting. She was the smart one!  Trav gave her a beautiful blessing.  I'm always reminded of how glad and lucky I am to be a mom when they are blessed.  It was a beautiful day! (I need to give credit to this site for the tutorial that helped me make the dress! Yah, I wish it would have been my idea haha. Man, I love having a girl to make clothes for!)

Four generations!  Pretty cool!

Hovering

There's a lot of this going on around here lately.  Chace loves being right close to Aubree!  He has to be touching her or kissing her anytime she's at his level.  What a good brother.  Aubree seems to really light up and gets excited when he comes near (which is kind of funny because who would want someone right in your face all the time!).  I love now that she is a little more interactive and she's smiling a lot!
