Family Pictures

Quite a while ago our amazingly talented friend, Kaleena, offered to take family pictures for us!  We finally found a day in this busy summer that we could get together and we got them done last week.  Although we probably only got 2 pictures the whole time with Chace either looking at the camera or giving us a half smile... they still turned out great and they just show his personality. :)  Much more interested in the cars driving by and the grass than the camera.  Oh well, we're still so happy with how they turned out!  There are a few more I'll post in a while but here's a taste for now!  Thanks so much Kaleena!

Photoshop!

So, Trav finally convinced me that we should get the Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign Adobe package before he doesn't get the student discount anymore.  Although I hate forking out money... I am pretty excited!  We've had it for a couple months now and I've been a little intimidated by the Adobe style of things but, I found this amazing blog: thecoffeeshopblog.com!!  This amazing lady has put so many different Actions on it that you can download for free.  I learned that pretty much an Action is a lifesaver for people like me who don't know all the ins and outs of Photoshop!  It's like a recipe that's already put together and instead of having to go through all the steps yourself, it just does it for you!!  I'm so excited because we are getting some family pics taken tonight so I'll be able to experiment more, but here's just a look at what I did today with one of the awesome Actions from the blog!

New Favorite Food!

Well, Chace fits right in with the Saunders Family.  We all know that July and August will be full of fresh corn on the cob from my dad's garden and we basically inhale the stuff.  I remember many times growing up seeing five and six finished cobs sitting on each of our plates after dinner.  I grew up staying each summer with my Grandpa and Grandma Saunders so we could pick and sell corn at their fruit stand.  We also would freeze enough corn to last us until the next summer.  (So much better than canned corn!!)  Basically corn is a pretty big part of our family, yes that sounds a little funny, but it's true!  So, it's a good thing that Mr. Chace is following the trend.  Look how well he cleaned that cob!  It took him an hour to do so, but what's better than something that'll keep him entertained AND in one place for a whole hour!  I have a feeling Chace will be eating a lot more corn in the coming weeks!
