Little Roadblock... Literally

Well, this little boy is deciding to take his time, but really we're looking at any time now he could decide to come!

However, there are only two ways to get in and out of our parking lot:

Either this way to the North: (Closed for construction)


Or this way to the South: (Locked temple parking lot)


Yup, you got it! We discovered when we went out to take a walk today that we're trapped in! So...we're working on that at the moment! Updates to come!

Update!

Well, no new little boy yet, but he really could come at anytime! Yesterday morning we went for a checkup and we wish we could have had a video taping of the doctor's reaction when she realized I was dilated to 4cm and 80% effaced. We were put on "Logan Arrest" as Trav calls it, so I won't be going to those two baby showers in Salt Lake and Tooele this weekend. Guess we'll have to have them after! Trav wants him to come right away, but I think Chace is going to give his dad his first fatherly lesson in patience :) We'll see!

Ready or Not!!

Umm... went to the doctor today. We might be having a baby sooner than we expected. Holy Cow! :)

Sessions Family Reunion

On August 7th we went to Taylorsville for the Sessions Family Reunion. Trav's mom was in charge of it this year and it turned out great! We had a lot of fun seeing everyone and the dutch oven peach cobbler was especially delicious! We're so grateful to have such a wonderful fam!

Lucky! Lucky!

So our lives have been pretty crazy these past couple months. Even without school it seems like we're just going and going! I can't believe Trav will start school again in just two weeks, and I really can't believe I don't have to! Yahoo! I've been sitting here thinking of all the things we've done this summer and it occurred to me that I am SO lucky to have the husband that I have! I know, no one wants to read a mushy "my husband is the best" post, but I've just been thinking of a few things I'm grateful for:
1. I have a husband who can fix the starter on my car...among many other things
2. Trav will spend all day sanding and staining furniture at my request (pictures coming soon!)
3. My family loves him... maybe more than they love me sometimes!
4. He convinced me we should start our family. I'm SO grateful he did!
5. He tells me my cooking is good, even when I know it isn't too fabulous.
6. He doesn't get mad when I spend a little money at Joann or Hobby Lobby :)
7. He's going to be the best dad in the world!

Getting Ready

Thank heavens for the tradition of giving Baby Showers when you are expecting your first baby! When you get married, usually you both have a few household items that you've collected to start your home with even before the wedding gifts come. Having a baby is completely different! As of a week ago, we had close to NOTHING for the little guy! Felt a little unprepared to say the least when I realized that some women have had their babies by now! However, I have two wonderful friends, Suzanne and Kaleena, who put together a baby shower for me last Thurs. here in Logan, and then I had a family shower yesterday with my mom and dad's family. So, I am feeling a little better about the situation. I can't post all the darling gifts we were given, but I just wanted to give a few samples because although some people say boys are not as fun to dress as litle girls, I think I'm going to have plenty of fun making this little boy look pretty handsom and stylish! :)

Can't wait to hit the beach next summer!

Pretty much as essential as diapers around here!

How many more weeks!?

Yellowstone

Way back, a whole month ago, Trav and I took a little trip to Yellowstone with our good friends Jared and Suzanne! Just thought I'd post a few pics of the fun time we had! (We got a new Camera for my birthday, graduation, Christmas, next birthday, and so forth and so on haha so we had a blast trying it out on the trip! LOVE IT!)

"Bar" Lake

For the 24th of July, Trav and I joined the Saunders and the Andrews clan on their trip to "Bar" Lake as my Granddad calls it! I was in heaven when we went to Minnetonka Caves where it was 40 degrees. (I can't seem to keep cool anywhere these days!) After the cave adventure, we headed to the beach and had a fabulous time because:
1.The water was perfect!
2.My cousins are a hoot and a half!
3.I love the beach!
4.I love my family
5.Bear Lake is the BEST!
6.It made me even more excited for this little one to come! Next summer he'll be just the perfect age to come to the beach!

Britt's New Friend

It has been pretty hard living without a piano since I moved away from home four years ago! I just figured it would be a while until I had one of my own, so I've just been hoping the little skills I had before haven't left me completely! To my suprise and excitement, however, my mom-in-law purchased a new house a few months ago and I guess the people who sold it didn't want to move their piano (which we soon realized why!) so they left it in the house. Well, it then became my birthday present and back in June Trav's mom and her fam brought this HEAVY thing up for me to have in our little apartment and we got it tuned a couple weeks later! It was one of the best birthday gifts ever! Thanks so much to the World family! :)
