We spent the day making heart pancakes and Valentines cookies, creating Valentines for Travis and watching Cat in the Hat's Valentines Day. Throughout the day Chace would come up to Aubree and I and say "Happy Valentines Day!" and would give us hugs, (a pleasant change from his usual, more aggressive expressions of love! :)) The kids have loved getting Valentines in the mail from grandparents this week, they get so excited. They are so loved.
We took cookies to uncle Jason, had a nice family dinner and spent time as a family this evening. Throughout the day I couldn't stop thinking that it is crazy how much you can love your family, even through all the craziness. I love being a mom and a wife. I love having two, soon to be three, cute little alarm clocks that never fail each morning. I love having a husband who puts up with all my crazy ideas and has never ending patience with me. I am so blessed and I think I am now going to look forward to Valentines Day each year. What a great reminder of the love I have for the fabulous people in my life.
Ok, let us be honest... this is usually what the hugs looked like today, but it's the thought that counts right! :)
